Thursday, February 05. 2009Quick Update
Level difficulties are in, and briefly tested. I'm sure some adjustments will be needed. I've only gotten a few levels into hard. I'll nerf the later levels in easy mode... to make them easier in easy and possible in hard. (If that makes sense).
Another fire bug was squashed. It is now working exactly like I want it to. Glacial speed is in. Poison tower is done. All that is left is re-rendering earth, and the later stages of wind. I'm also going to try and track down the maze-finding bug. If anyone has more information on how and why this happens, please let me know. And now... on with the show! Sorry, forgot to mention this will be released in a few hours. I want to work some more on the fire and earth, and some more balance testing. Hard mode is kicking my ass at the moment.

Update looks great. Do you think the real release will be out by Feb 18th? I have a 14 hour plane ride that day and it would be a great way to pass the time. Regards, Michael

Depends on Apple. My plan is to submit on 2-10-09. Apple can take 8 hours to 8 months. The initial release was 8 hours. But since then there has been a flood of fart and matching apps. Good news is that Besiegement has few system calls and that seems to be a factor of slowdown.

Sounds great. I will keep my fingers crossed.
One other question: Will the new version still turn off music that is playing when the game starts up? I don't mind when I have on the apple headphones, but my noising canceling ones don't have the button to turn music back on.

This was fixed. The original was working at one time but I broke it right before release.
